Description The Raiju (Brontocyon laponica) is a Jaguar-sized carnivorous marsupial mammal that is a distant relative of the Tasmanian tiger. They are mostly solitary animals but males and females as a pair rarely live together socially and they only come together when mating and the females is left to care for the young, if two males meet they'll fight and the attack are brutal for you see..... Two males should never be together in the same place cuz only one will make it out alive but there will be a chance when the opponent will make it out alive. The appearance of the Raiju is often a debate of what it looked like to humans in fact it often described as a Wolf, a cat, a fox, a weasel, a tiger, and sometimes a dragon, but I came with the idea of "why not combine all of the descriptions into in the most unique way possible" as a Marsupial mammal, why?..... well in the myth during thunder storms the Raiju likes to sneak into people's bellybuttons (specifically innies) to snuggle and sleep in however his owner and master Raijn wakes him up by striking him with a huge bolt of lighting causing him to erupt out thus killing the person which is pretty over kill now that you say it out loud. But thankfully the actual Raiju which is this one doesn't do that in fact the idea of the Bellybutton came from the juveniles sleeping in her pouch (and yes they do have them) which was mistaken for a bellybutton and the only thing waking them up is their mothers which they often sleep on their backs when their babies are in their pouches, and speaking of juveniles the Raiju can give birth to only two being the Maximum and she care for them both until they're old enough to care for themselves and live their lives. Huge incisors and retractable claws (which are only found of Thylacoleo) perfect for hunting prey especially strong legs to run up to them and strike with strong force and power from their teeth & claws plus incredible hearing and acean sense of smell like a bloodhound to track down prey from miles away plus even though the stripes on them stand out a little in the forests they are master hunters in grassy fields and they have silent feet, and specking of which the stripes are a bright yellow that gives it a lighting feel which is obviously where the legend of the Raiju came from.
