Description Edit February 2: I changed the preview image for a stamp and revamped my long button .

I felt like doing this...I decided to do a version of *SparkLum 's previous work .

So it contains the famous "Do not thank for the faves", with a "Do not thank for the llama" and a "Do not thank for the watch".

The Llama, Fave and belongs to their owners.

To use the stamp(which is the preview of this long button) simply copy and paste the thumbcode at the right to use it.
:thumb183574728:

To use copy and paste the code below into a Custom box widget or your ID .

To use the older version copy and paste the code below into a Custom box widget or your ID .

Using. Those "Thanks for the fave" and other similar messages are annoying, and it's really another form of self-advertisement. And comments like them may or may not include some additional things like "Check out my gallery" and other excuses for self-advertisement. No, just no. We don't give a crap what their gallery looks like or what they post. And just because we get watches doesn't mean we have to watch them back, because we will not waste our time watching users with empty galleries or if we feel whatever they post isn't very appealing to us, or if we feel they're hardly active at all.

"Thanks for the fave/llama/watch" comment is very annoying especially when people keep spamming the comment. It's so rude if they don't read a person's profile page that has "Don't thank me" stamp/button. It's even more rude if they start to insult the person like "I don't care! I do whatever I like. If you don't like it, leave deviantART, stupid!" Β Β Yeah, I saw that on someone's page.Β

They should read other person's profile before spamming the annoying comment. I never use any 'Don't thank for the fave' stamp/button. I know some people don't even bother to look at other person's profile.Β Β Β  Β

I can understand why people don't like it... I know several people on various art sites who are rather popular artists/commissioners and are very active when it comes to browsing and liking/commenting on art.... they get absolutely FLOODED with "thank you" comments... and when someone is actually trying to talk to them through the comment box... the artists end up digging through page after page after page of nothing but "thank you for the watch" copy and pasted with the occasional "thanks for the watch, your art is really cool too ^_^" ... just to get to the person they were talking toΒ  - Yuki

Well I guess people get annoyed when they have say 100+ pages of comments saying the same thing..and/or they probably don't want to talk to others. Seems a bit childish and pointless if you have to post a ton of stamps or something like this one your page anyway if you're going to continue to watch, llama, or favorite deviants anyway.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WhiteMagickMage In reply to SolBrandz [2015-08-23 19:59:26 +0000 UTC]

That's so true like if you don't want people thanking you then don't favorite or watch or even send llamas. I personally love recieving thank you comments even if I am not able to reply to them all. It just shows that they are appreciative of the support I have given them.

having multiple account showed me that some people who write 'cute' comments
really just copy and paste those comments...
But not only that, the SPAM lot of 'Thanks for the fav ' also after saying that I don't want does comment anymore.
I just feel like a billboard ~ there to promote others

And I'm sick of it

^^
From me journal ^^

Still there are people who give me those messages...
I just don't feel that the people are really thank me...

I get thanked on here all the time. I've long ago decided that a "please don't thank me" on my page is ineffective. But when the message is there, and people still do it (from the looks of it, one or two people in the comments below do it because they consider it polite...it's not polite if you ignore them! I respect your opinion on calling it spam or not, but when people don't agree with you it's the nice thing to respect their opinion and not leave a thanks!), oftentimes because they don't pay attention (which is particularly interesting when you make it pretty obvious and stand out a lot), or just don't care. It's kinda frustrating.

Dinoclaws In reply to DreamilicousDoodlez [2014-09-01 17:39:28 +0000 UTC]

Eh, don't feel bad, it's a good thing to say please and thank you.

Β It's just that on dA, some people don't want to be thanked for faving someones works and giving a llama as they would appreciate more meaningful comments. When they fave they simply wants to see more artwork of that person.
Β
And this stamp-button doesn't cover much, since there is some thank you's that will always be appreciated, like when a user gives you out a subscription or points because of how much they appreciates you.

Personally, I like it when people thank me, but that's just my opinion. :3
And I don't get spammed by people thanking me for faves, because I don't go on and fave bazillions of things at a time, like I see many people on here doing. O.o

I really hate when people say "Thanks For The Fave" or something. It may sound nice, but it is annoying because it spams me.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 0

Annissina [2014-05-26 23:02:54 +0000 UTC]

I only ever thank people for the watch, and I absolutely always type it out (it's not a copy-paste). I do it because I'm happy they like my art enough to hit the watch button. I don't consider "thank you" comments to be spam, that's what your profile page is for. People can comment on your art all they want in your gallery.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FaerieMayden In reply to Annissina [2014-11-13 22:08:37 +0000 UTC]

Regardless, though. If someone is asking politely that you do not "spam" their page, it is your job to respect their plea. If you don't see something anywhere saying not to, then goodness feel free.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

Annissina In reply to FaerieMayden [2014-11-14 15:58:38 +0000 UTC]

I highly doubt 1 comment from me EVER is "spamming" anyone's page. Because that's what people get from me, unless they're my friends. If you're waiting for comments on your art on your profile page, you're gonna have to keep waiting. You're going to get it on your individual deviations. The comment section is there so we can communicate with each other. Would you rather I sent you a note instead? Also, has it ever crossed your mind some people might be spamming your profile just to troll you? Get off your high horse.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FaerieMayden In reply to Annissina [2014-11-15 00:59:25 +0000 UTC]

Of all people to have a "high horse", I know it sure as Hell isn't me. Trust me on that one. But note how I said "its polite to respectΒ other people's wishes, even if you don't necessarily agree with them"? Some people do acknowledge that you're trying to be polite but gently ask you to please not. Especially in more popular deviants. I've seen comment sections where they have literally nothing but "thanks!" for three pages. Don't you think they'd prefer a warm hello instead?

Also, me making a three-sentence statement gently pressing my opinion to try and help them see what my perspective on a situation is, does not define my personality, because never have I been rude to anyone without reason, and I sure as Hell am not smug. So you technically have no right to say I have a high horse in the first place.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

Annissina In reply to FaerieMayden [2014-11-24 17:00:01 +0000 UTC]

I don't understand why you think people care what you want. They don't.
Also, I'd rather get "thank you" messages than nothing at all (or even worse - hate messages).
I can't understand how you can see people taking the time to show you their appreciation as spam.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FaerieMayden In reply to Annissina [2014-11-26 19:06:39 +0000 UTC]

And I can't see how you're so insufferable to say this. Even if you don't agree with someone, it's polite to respect their opinion. So even if we were both to be wrong in the end, it's just common courtesy to respect someone for their perspective and at least prevent conflict by leaving them alone. You can thank other people, but please respect me, and other people's pleas to not be thanked because that is what they want.

I believe we are talking circles now, so as of this response, I will no longer reply. Have a nice day.
