Now that mention it what's a Utahraptor doing in Europe and why did the creator put it in there?

According to the American release narrated by Avery Brooks, which I haven't seen since I was a toddler and it has since been "out of existence", it was thought that North America and Europe were connected close enough for Utahraptor cross from America to Europe.
(Somebody on Facebook has been publishing a recording of the American release)

In the companion book, it's explained that this is a speculated second species of Utahraptor, apparently found in Europe due to their adaptability. It's mostly based on the scant remains of aΒ specificΒ unidentified theropod (most likely a large dromaeosaur very similar to Utahraptor) found in the Wealden Group.

Still, I don't hate the series for it. Like the Behind The Scenes of the Trilogy of Life explained, every documentary has it's outdated info and mistakes.

Yes, science is quite often updated. There's so much about the past that we don't know about. The same can be said about even modern biology, we still don't know everything about it, nor have we explored everywhere on our own planet.
Even the Walking With series may have some outdated information in it, it's still entertaining to watch. I also recommend the companion books too, they are worth the read.

All they had to do was switch the Utahraptor to be in North America and the episode wouldβve held up better. Weβd still get an awesome hunt scene too and everything would play out normally

I think that the Green Iguanodon were originally supposed to be Dakotadon in North America, while the zebra-like dinosaurs were supposed to the European Iguanodon, but the filmmakers rushed and didn't realize they filmed the Ornithochierus's flight path the right way, hence, the hunt came after reaching Europe with out-of-place Utahraptors.

Yeah, and I'm glad to be the one to discover its worth.
It's one of those unexploited moments in films you gotta bump into. Get ready though, I've got another related meme on the way.
