why does everyone think that's Twi's skull? normal horse skulls don't look like that, let alone chibi unicorn skulls. he probably found a dragon's skeleton and figured that a weapon and a helmet would be a goodΒ idea.

Nice picture! The lore behind the pokemon cubone makes me think of Spike now wearing the skull of Twilight, though, which is... disturbingly depressing, to say the least. Thank you for both! lol D:

the idea is that spike went back to the badlands to reconnect with his dragon roots and his hunting instincts, the skull is from Spike first big kill and it`s a sign of respect for his first pray that thought him to respect the rules of the badlands.
Honestly I don't find that twilight acts that much as a mother to Spike more as a sister/employer, still would like to see more something in the direction of momcelestia in the show.

Ad first I wanted to put on a mlp dragon skull from a full grown dragon but that would way to big for spike so I kinda took Cubone skull for the idea. It works really well I think.
