Whilst they were a fine addition in Halo 3: ODST I am glad they have been TWEAKED. Now they aren't a pain to get rid of (although an overcharged shot could kill them instantly in ODST as well as just going in close proximity to them works or dispatching the Brute Leader with them). Now I can take them out with ease from a good range with mid-long range weaponry.
