Thank you Betty!
You know, it is very boring village, and poor woman has no other entertainment than to go out in front of her house.

If I were to comment it in one word I'd say: great.

However, I hope you don't mind some more critical approach. What bothers me is composition, the left side looks somewhat... not fitting the rest of the picture. I don't know what was to your right, but if the metal fence continued up there it would be good choice to move the frame slightly to the right.

Still, it is just my vision of this - I'm afraid you knew what you were doing better. Nice shot, nonetheless!

No, I do not mind at all.
But, khhm, English language is my problem to initiate a serious discussion.
For me, the house on the left side is very important object in this composition and story.
I have deliberately put the previous photograph precisely because of this that I noted about which artistic expression I speak.
Question of harmony is very complicated and it depends on collective consciousness in a certain area at a specific time. You and me can be very different people (we read different books, we listened to different music, we enjoyed in different photographs...), with different visual and cultural language. But, that is good, because we can get to know something and someone that's different, and that is good for our cerebral convolutions.
Photograph as you saw it could also be excellent, who knows. But I have acted according to my intuition and my sense of content.
Maybe I have had to take more shots from different angles. I just did not, and now is to late.

Well, English is not my native language, and I don't consider myself to be great at using it.

To the point, I'm sure you did it as your intuition told you to, that's how we all work. It is pretty obvious that we have different views on visual values and composition, just as any pair of people compared.

If the second house was supposed to be in the composition, it makes perfect sensee and could not have been done in different way (as it is perfectly aligned vertically with the woman).

Ah, stupid me, you are talking about small part of second house on the left! If it is that so, I agree.
But, you know, for me it is still not easy to talk with someone (and persuade him to agree to be a model) and at the same time think about details. I only imagine general frame and than I press the trigger. People in this area don't like very much to be photographed, especially not when stranger rush from the car and move toward them with a camera. In the best case, they permit one shot, and then they become upset.

Well, I really respect the fact that you are tough enough to approach people asking for the photo. That's always been a problem for me (well, not much experience, anyway ). I believe that real mastery in this kind of photography takes good approach to the people, sense of space and skill of visualisation, all connected and working really quick.

I will have to pick up some project about people and their surroundings but I think that I'm too... unexperienced yet. Not in the people relations, just the approach-wise. Some day, maybe.

It is not easy, particularly in these times (I think that in the time of Cartier-Bresson, Doisneau and others from that generation situation was much different: people at that time were aware of the social importance of photography).
I still have not been formed as a photographer, and any of my photos is a attempt of learning. People with whom I exercise my compositions are strangers and I can not expect them to have patience for me.
On the other hand, for me is very important to ask them about the photographing them, because I want them to be aware of shooting. Mostly I don't want them to be anonymous beings. I even expect that the dog or frog has a personality.

They both represent an unattainable level. However, it is very pleasant to read such a comparison.

Hvala ti!
