This is a good moment to ask you question that I asked many people.
Do you think that there is much less real life on the street today than couple of decades before, or you think that it's just that life has changed and we have to search it in different places?

In the big Western cities, there is more and more a standardization which leaves less place in creation and in meetings, contacts, with people. The street photograph becomes less interesting and spectacular, and people are more aggressive... To photograph people becomes a threat for the photographer.
Yes, life changed, individualism augmented, and people are alike more and more. But, for the photographer, it is perhaps better, his eye must still "see farther".
We must search different places, yes, in our respective country, if possible; but, for shooting in an "exotic" country, we absolutely must be familiar with the people of this country to make interesting and clever pictures. Otherwise we will make only postcards without interest...
The street photographers, I see in Paris, are fewer in number that in the seventies or eighties. The conceptual photo and the navel-gazing of some "artists" became the rule.
(Sorry, I can not say correctly in English what I feel, my answer to your question is really too lightweight).

But still, the answer in beautiful, very serious, mature. You're the best person that I know of discussing about this topic.
Even through my life everything has changed radically. I can never get over that I wasn't photographed earlier, before this changes, to record all the richness of life in Dalmatia, which today no longer exists, and it was replaced by spectacle.
