It's unique and original and very refreshing to me as viewer as apposed to the MANY cliche Artworks that you see over and over here. I admire when people can create an Artwork with their own methods and technnique's. I agree that the way you work your brushes gives this a style all of it's own and it's sort of like your own personal signature, because this is how YOU do it, and usually no one can replicate that. I think it is fine just how it is, I would not be able to offer much to you in the way of advices except that when you DON'T want the rough lines is to drop the opacity of your brush, make the canvas your working on as large as possible and with the opacity at a lower setting, such as 50 or even 40 or 30, work your brush with the smallest size brush you are able to work with. make your strokes with the lower opacity and let the lines build up, you will eventually acquire your own personal stroke/style in the way you apply your lines and work with your smudge tool in the same manner to blend the things you want blended. Now.. after telling all of this, I still think this is great as it is. I just thought I would mention this since you were saying that this was your first attempt

I think the blurs and smudges really add a unique characteristic to it.
