This is my Father's Day gift to my dad.John Wayne is one of his favorite actors of all time.
(This portrait is not a part of my 50 actors project. I would say John Wayne is somewhere among my top 100, not fifty)

Wonderful likeness! My mom likes John Wayne a lot too. I haven't seen many of his movies but I do like "Rooster Cogburn and the Lady."

I'm not much of a Western film loving person even though I can say I love John Wayne. I mean, in many Western films they depict many of the outlaws as the good guys and the Native Americans are the bad guys. I do however love his film 'The High and the Mighty' for the all-star cast, that it's about a pilot and my dad's a pilot (retired), and one of my favorite actors co-stars in it, Robert Newton.
