Description Everyone is getting excited about the upcoming Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland that there are pictures everywhere of Johnny Depp's character of Mad Hatter. [link] If you ask me, they made him even creepier than the new Wonka.
Everyone also loves Reginald Hatter who belongs to Bri-Chan since he's cute and all.
And some can't forget good old Disney's version of Mad Hatter voiced by the comical Ed Wynn.

But there's one Hatter we've all forgotten from our childhood. In the center of this drawing I made is the wonderful Mad Hatter from the Disney TV show in the early 90's "Adventures in Wonderland". Nobody ever talks about that show anymore because it was forgotten over the years. I drew this to have everyone remember him before the new one conquers them all. (If he DOES conquer them)

But here's one of my favorite episodes of Adventures in Wonderland so ya'll can remember him - [link]
(and playing the walrus in this episode is Ken Page-the voice of Oogie Boogie)

I wish "Adventures in Wonderland" had a DVD release with bonus features like a documentary of what went down behind the scenes, stories from the actors and actresses and maybe some deleted scenes. Until then though, I was able to find interviews from "The Tiara Talk Show" with a good chunk of the cast appearing. Here's a recent one:

Oh my Gosh, I remember that show! I used to love it even though it was so cheesy! My favorite episode was the one where everyone lost their keys. It's actually the only one I really remember, because it was on the same tape my grandma recorded with the old Disney AIW and a couple other shows I can't stand. XD

And I work in the park where it was filmed. In fact, Alice's house used to stand down the street where I work. Her neighbors were The Golden Girls and across the street from her was Harry Weston and Dreyfuss from Empty Nest. Those houses including hers are gone now
But still, I love to think of that show and say to myself, right now I might be standing where one of the actors probably stood on their break or time off. ^^

Do you mean the house set or the house exterior?!? That's awesome!! <3

DisneyFan-01 In reply to AtomykTickTock [2010-03-04 13:00:46 +0000 UTC]

FL.
The exterior of the house. I'm upset that it's gone. But the whole show was filmed somewhere in the park. Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly known as Disney's MGM Studios). If you recall, at the end of every episode White Rabbit would say that the show was filmed there.

AtomykTickTock In reply to DisneyFan-01 [2010-03-04 17:53:47 +0000 UTC]

Yes, though at one point they moved filming to CA. Or vice versa. I honestly forget. But I'm like... the hugest fan. I really wish it was coming out on DVD. =C

A bunch of fans and I voted for it to be released on DVD-- www.TVshowsonDVD.com. You register, search for it, and vote. I've never gotten any spam mail from them either, if you'd like to help us up the count.
I also want to write a letter and see if they can get the ball rolling on actually releasing it with the profound interest in Wonderland stuff nowadays... Not sure where to send the letter to though.

Do you remember that live version Disney made for TV in 1999 with Martin Short as the Mad Hatter Whoopi Goldberg, and that girl from Neopolitan Dynamite as Alice. I haven't seen it in years but I remember it being quite good (despite the fact that it was made for TV).

I watched it again on youtoub out of nostalgia and thought it wasn't a good as I remembered. That's what you get when you make something for TV and cram it full of stares.

A lot of good stars. I mean I loved Whoopi as Chessie, Gene Wilder as the Mock Turtle, and Christopher Lloyd as the Clumsy Knight, but I guess the movie didn't interest me as much as the book itself or the Disney versions did.

I had one or two eps of this that my parents recorded off Disney before we canceled our cable. I remember loving it. I checked for it like, a year ago or something on youtube but there was only the intro. I'm glad there are episodes up now.

And... lol, the white rabbit on rollerblades... So 90's. XD

I remember this show! I use to watch it all the time before it didn't come on air anymore. I remember the episode he was singing and playing the guitar, and I can't remember who pressured him, but he decided to dress up as Elvis, thinking it'll improve, but he got too nervous and lost, getting the "sad face".

That's why I had Reggie say "I thought 'I' was the cute one". Everyone who looks back at this Hatter says he's hot, yet many of them find Bri-Chan's cute as well. Now Reggie has a competition.
