Description
In the alicorn world, Opaline Arcana tells a trio of alicorns about the four angels using the Crystal Heart. She asserts they have nothing to fear despite a legend claiming the alicorn world’s destruction if the Crystal Heart’s power were released and sends out the alicorns to destroy the rainbow angels.

In earth, the girls are leaving school after working on the school newspaper. Shield Wing walks up to the group and teases them for leaving late, which results in a argument between him and Rainbow Sparkle. Kauane then interrupts their quarrel and takes Shield Wing inside the school. Monika is seen at the entrance of the school feeling a powerful wave coming from the campus.

Kauane leads Shield Wing to a classroom where she plays a piano song on the speakers and approaches him while the girls watch the pair from outside. The girls insist on Rainbow Sparkle stopping them, but she refuses to get involved. It’s then Kauane mentions to Shield Wing about marriage between the both of them and attempts to embrace him. Visibly uncomfortable, Shield Wing pushes her back and reveals he likes someone else. Kauane falls to the floor and becomes distraught. Before Shield Wing can walk away, Kauane surrounds the school in a vortex of negative energy, making him fall unconscious. She then transforms into her alicorn form, surprising the other girls as they knew that Kauane is an alicorn the whole time. They then transform into the rainbow angels while the school flips upside down.

Before Kauane is able to embrace Shield Wing, the girls interrupt her. She launches an attack towards the angels and leaves the room with Shield Wing. As they try to run after her, the trio of female alicorns halt the girls and chain their legs up to prevent them from moving. Just then Leopold appears and breaks the chains bound to their legs and fights the alicorns, giving the angels the chance to continue their chase.

Kauane soon notices them chasing her again and uses her powers to try and strike the angels. While they initially avoid it, they are then struck again and wrapped in Kauane's magic water. Misty Brightdawn warns the girls they will melt from the water if they don’t get out of the magic water. Suddenly Heart appears and get rid of the water with her Heart Sword and Shield. As the girls are happy for their rescue, they soon turn around to see another pair of female alicorns approaching them, avoiding their attack. Heart attacks the alicorns with Heart Strike while Creative uses Purple Dreaming to disorient them. The angels tell Rainbow to find Kauane while they decide to fight the alicorns themselves. As Rainbow hurries away, the three alicorns disappear.

Kauane is seen with Shield Wing in another classroom assuring him they will be in her homeworld soon. The trio of alicorns then appear before Kauane and tell her she’s no longer welcome in the alicorn world. Confused, Kauane looks outside and sees the vortex of destruction below. The alicorns reveal they were given orders by Opaline Arcana to punish Kauane after continuously disobeying her orders and falling in love with a human. She then doubles down on her love with Shield Wing and holds on to him. One of the three alicorns goes to strike Kauane, but is interrupted by Rainbow who tells her to release Shield Wing, which she refuses. The alicorn then turns her attention to the angel and strike her with evil energy while the other angels enter the classroom. Hope uses Blue Stardust to attack the alicorn, releasing Rainbow from her bind. The four angels then combine their powers with the Crystal Heart, defeating the multiple alicorn mares and turning the school back to normal.

Rainbow asks Kauane to let go of Shield Wing again, but denies her. She tells the girls she’s going to marry Shield Wing in her homeland and shocks the angels with her evil energy. Misty Brightdawn warns Rainbow that if Kauane uses all her power up, she will lose her strength. In order to save Kauane, Rainbow absorbs the negative energy with the Red Crystal and purifies her. Kauane then flies away from the school.

That night, Kauane is seen in the city reflecting back at what she did to Dark Fire. She realizes he had given up being a alicorn and had fallen in love. She then decides to give up her pride as a alicorn and turns back into a human.

Kauane is seated with Shield Wing at a park while the girls watch them from afar. She apologizes about being wrong about what hope and love was and tells him she has to leave. She then goes up to Shield Wing and kisses him on the cheek, surprising Rainbow Sparkle but remaining calm. Kauane then says bye to Shield Wing and runs off. The other girls look on, feeling Kauane’s pain while learning what it means to have a heart. Monika becomes concerned at leaving Kauane free, but the girls reassure her that she is no longer an alicorn and can now live a happy life as a human. The girls then see Kauane flirting with another man similar to Dark Fire and quickly develops a bond with him.
