Rocket and Pikachu see Twilight Sparkle riding her twinkling balloon and shouting "I need tape!", which means that she needs tape to fix the hole in her balloon, and fast when someone accidentally slingshots a rock towards Twilight's balloon! They get some tape called Flex Tape out of Backpack Buddy, they started racing after the twinkling balloon, but the twinkling balloon disappears behind the clouds and they need to figure out where it is heading, so they ask IPhone for help. He says the twinkling balloon is going to Crocodile Swamp.

Before they can get there, they have to go across a Windy River, go over a Slippery Rock to get to Crocodile Swamp. Their goal is to get the Flex Tape to Twilight Sparkle before the twinkling balloon goes into the swamp. They not only have to fix the twinkling balloon, they fix multiple things, such as Backpack Buddy's broken strap, Spike's sailboat, and wrap sticky tape on the robin's nest to the branch of the tree to prevent it from blowing off the tree. They even use the Flex Tape to put around their feet to prevent themselves from slipping on the Slippery Rock.

Big Jet steals the Flex Tape (since Rocket and Pikachu stopped him before, but wanted revenge), but Rocket and Pikachu managed to find it. After that, they climb up the twinkling balloon using the net ladder. But suddenly, part of it was broken! They used the flex tape to fix the net ladder. Once they got in the twinkling balloon, Pikachu climbed up, took a piece of flex tape and patched the hole, fixing the twinkling balloon and rising it away from the crocodiles and escape out of Crocodile Swamp, saving Twilight Sparkle from becoming lunch.
