Rocket greets Twilight Sparkle as he holds a basket. Today is a special day for friends to play together: he is planning a Best Friends' Day picnic with Pikachu. He walks on the path and wants to pick out some strawberries as a special picnic surprise. He picks out 10 strawberries from a bush and adds them into his basket. Rocket was ready for his Best Friends' Day picnic with Pikachu. They are far apart but will meet up together on top of Rainbow Rock. The problem is Rocket doesn't know how to get to Rainbow Park. IPhone loves when they check him. He can see Rocket at the Strawberry Patch and wants to get to Rainbow Park. But before he can get there, he'll have to go through a gate and then he can get to Rainbow Park. He also mentions that he can catch alicorns along the way.

Rocket sees it and is ready for the Best Friends' Day picnic and he gives an important message to Twilight Sparkle to tell Pikachu where they are meeting. Twilight Sparkle flies up to Pikachu and reminds him about where Rocket wanted to meet him: Rainbow Park. Pikachu loves that place. He was almost ready for the picnic. All he had to do is get some chocolate because Rocket loves chocolate. He sees Chocolate Slug. He wishes him a happy Best Friends' Day. He explained to him that he needed some chocolate to bring to Rocket. Chocolate Slug tells Pikachu that the chocolate was on his body. Pikachu collect the chocolate from the slug. Pikachu gives a taste test and it was yummy. Now, he was ready for his Best Friends' Day picnic at Rainbow Park. Boots thanks Chocolate Slug for helping him make the chocolate.

He was about to get going and then he stops because he didn't know how to get to Rainbow Park and doesn't have IPhone. Pikachu uses his thunderbolt signal to Rocket as a sign of help. Rocket sees Pikachu's thunderbolt signal and knows that he needs help. Rocket checks IPhone for the second time. He was so surprised (and amazed) to hear that they were checking on him again. He can see Pikachu who recently left the chocolate slug and wants to get to Rainbow Park. Before he can get there, he has to go past a path that has fireant hills and if he succeeds, he'll reach Rainbow Park. Pikachu spots the anthills. He gets going to see Rocket, while he gets going to see Pikachu. Rocket sings "Power of Friends. They see many friends.

Rocket sees the gate. He pulls on the padlock and he becomes animate. The padlock said that the gate is locked. Rocket explains to Padlock that he has to get through the gate and fast because he was on his way to see his best friend Pikachu. Padlock tells him to use the key. He looks around for Key. Sure enough, Key was hanging on a hook. Rocket finds it and then suddenly, he hears Big Jet nearby. He hides inside a rock and moves it. He takes Key, twirls him around and hides him. Big Jet runs away. Padlock knew Key was lost. Rocket tells Padlock not to worry that he and Twilight Sparkle will find Padlock's friend Key. Key was on the flowers. Key was happy to see Padlock. Suddenly, Padlock's shackle releases, the latch opens and the gate opens wide. Rocket passes through the gate and then hears some alicorns. Rocket noticed that the alicorns are holding hands for Best Friends' Day. Suddenly, Rocket shoots up and flies around. Rocket catches all the stars and puts them in his magic pocket.

After catching the alicorns and going through the gate, Rocket picks up speed by running to Rainbow Park and then IPhone vibrates a an alarm that Pikachu had to watch out for the ants. Twilight Sparkle flies over to Pikachu to alert him about the ants and he knew he had to watch out for the ants but hasn't seen any yet. But then, he saw the ants. More ants came along and made it difficult for Pikachu. He didn't know what to do. He decided to stop and think. He couldn't go around or under the ants. So, he had to go over the ants. A group of vines hang over the path next to the ants. Pikachu grabs the longest vine in the middle, takes a step back and holds the bowl of chocolate with his tail. Then, he does a Tarzan yell as he swings over the ants. After that, he catches the bowl of chocolate and some chocolate lands in his mouth. Pikachu made it over the ants. He was getting close to Rainbow Park.

Suddenly, they follow their corresponding paths and reached the bottom side of Rainbow Park. They were almost together. All they had to do is climb up the hill so they can meet at the park. Rocket has to get out a rope, so he can climb up Rainbow Park. Rocket checks Backpack Buddy. After getting the rope from Backpack Buddy, Rocket has to throw the rope over the hill over to Pikachu, but it was very far. So Rocket calls on Rocket and manages to stretch the rope all way to Pikachu. Rocket goes back into the magic pocket. Rocket was about to climb his side of the hill when he heard Big Jet again, who is planning on trying to steal the rope. Rocket stops him by using the shield. But it's not over yet, because he tries again on Pikachu. Twilight Sparkle tells Pikachu "Big Jet is coming". Pikachu saw him and he stops him by using an electric shield, causing Big Jet to fly outta here.

They each climbed their side of the hill. Pikachu makes it to the top first and then Rocket gets to the top second. They both call out. They hug and cheered. Rocket had a surprise for Pikachu. It was a basket full of strawberries. Pikachu had a surprise for Rocket. It was chocolate. So, they dipped the strawberries into the bowl of chocolate and took a taste. It was yummy. They're having a great time in Rainbow Park on Best Friends Day.
