In yonder realm of faith and creed, a tale I weave,
Of fervent hearts that in religion's name believe.
But as the fervor deepens, minds ensnared, astray,
A madness in their piety's embrace holds sway.
For faith, a noble beacon in the darkest night,
Can lead to salvation or to endless plight.
Yet religion, oftentimes a man-made snare,
Can drive men mad, their souls in deep despair.
The zealot, blind in fervor, loses reason's light,
In dogma's grip, his soul takes tragic flight.
He clings to doctrines, blind to truth's array,
And in his fervent madness, reason will decay.
So, let us tread with care, on this precarious path,
For faith can heal, or it can kindle wrath.
In the balance between belief and strife,
Lies the eternal struggle for the soul's own life.
