Description Fractal 361

Pagwa is a spring festival celebrated by Hindu and Sikh. In Trinidad there is a significant Hindu population so they celebrate it there too (even if there isn't much of a spring in Tropical countries). Its celebrated on March 26th and involves squerting everyone with purple and pink coloured water. I've never seen them celebrate it in person, but I always saw bits of it on TV. It looks like alot of fun. There are of course other things done on the day, but I don't know a ton about Hinduism

I don't know why, but it seem vaugly Indian to me. Not sure why. Either way, I'm very happy with it. The blurs and shapes all worked just as I wanted them to.

I'm tired of winter, I need COLOUR!!!

Dragon tail! It'd be awesome to make a fractal dragon. I also thought briefly of a rolly-polly bug, those cute bugs that curl into themselves when touched, except they are really short, but it makes me think of them...and the large short curls look a bit like snail shells, and the small short curls look like lizards standing on their own curly tail, all with a single bright green beady eye.
Whoa! This Pagwa thing sounds fun, I wanna try it!
I personally don't miss summer. I may enjoy spring until it gets past 68 degrees F, and then I'll be wishing for winter back.

It is a pretty dragonish colour scheme. I'm not sure that I could manage a whole dragon is fractals, I can't even draw something resembling a reptile on paper... I remember those rolly-polly bugs Back at home we also have a plant that closes if you touch it, they were great fun except for their throns, lol. Back in the Pensylvainian (about 300 Million years back) scientists say bugs got huge, so maybe we had foot long rolly pollys, that would be a sight.

Trinidad is a fun place in general with all its festivals. Hundreds of people fly in for our Pre-Lent Carnival. On the early Monday morning they do J'ouvert where they take mud, oil and paint, mix them together and throw it all over the place. Strange thing happen when you have an island thats trying to incorperate African, Indian and European customs

It doesn't have to look too much like a dragon, or anything like a dragon really, just representational of one...or maybe just a cool wing, a lot of neat details could be incorporated into a wing.
Oooh, those plants soudn so neat-o! The most I've ever een a plant move was when it sways in the wind, our plants move so slowly....
I...I'm not sure I'd be a fan of such huge rolly pollies...in fact, I think I'd be rather frightened and would beat them with a wrench if I had one.

I've always wanted to do something cool for Marti Gras, but it isn't hugely celebrated where I live, my family and friends usually just take it upon ourselves to eat a lot of food right before we start the Lenten fast.

Indian? Maybe because of its colours? They look a lot like Orient in my opinion.
I like the didactic aspect of your fractals - reading the descriptions can make you find out something new every time! Plus, the fractal is full and pleasant to see.

I may have to agree with you there I was struggling to think what and where it reminded me of but kept drawing blanks. I like teaching what I know, I mean isn't that what the artist comment section is for? I get a little annoyed when I see a super awesome peice but the only comment is something like "UF5", "-", or "."and the name is "12-543-100" or "Image93". I'm glad you like what I do

Aaah, I so very share your opinion! I especially dislike awesome fractals without a title, they feel... half empty. At times I do understand the lack of some good insight in the comments because it's not always easy to write meaningful things there, but the title lack is... sad!

I hold myself to higher standards than I expect from others, so I'll excuss not putting a page for an artist comment, but I do like to know something about the image (how long it took to do, any challenges in making it, what program was used, why you named it what you did, ect). I don't find that comments take that long to write, so why not put something.
