Just a 2 hour sketch. (!!!) This looks like a thought out and polished painting, one I'd grace on any scifi cover. Awesome!

There are a few things that i don't understand, tought: are the cables connected to the first planet on the right/bottom really.. cables? They look like the ones of a bridge °_°
And another thing: the ships on the background, probably because of the different direction, seem to create another point of prospective, but maybe it's just my own feeling.

Wow! Great work! You really elegantly preserved the emptiness of space while at the same time filling it with color! All the rendering is perfect and the lighting is equally as astounding! I could go on about this piece for ever, but instead I will simply repeat my self, Wow! and Excellent work!
