Taken: 05-23-04Place: DeLeon Springs, FL.
History: Theodore Strawn bought orange groves in Glenwood and started the "Bob White" brand. He had a packing house which burned in 1921, and was rebuilt. Many of the old buildings which comprised the operation have been preserved here, and on a parcel of land about 1/2 mile northeast of the entrance to the springs.

one of the better of the series
i like the roofing, as i should - its textures are nice.
but i also like the sense of invasion, coming from the protruding greenery in the door.

why don't people fullview photos?
this is really great, the textures of the roof and the way it feels like it was just slapped together, the paint peeling from the door as if it had once flooded up to that point, the plant try to find its way inside.

yea I dunno why people don't fullview or even look at all. The series started out pretty strong, yet has quite crashed and burned. This is one of my favorite shots from the whole series.
unfortunately the door, along with pretty much every other door was locked. The only way into the factory featured in the last two photos, was through one of those many windows you see. Yup me and a friend actually got through one of the broken out windows. Let me tell you it was more than a tight squeeze.

thank you I'm glad you are. I also had one person say that most of the photos didnt really give them alot of intrest because they saw so much destruction from day to day.
this is also something I expected when I first went too. I mean the amount of graffiti would have made you believe that there wouldn't be any locks left, yet every building was secure and didn't allow use to see alot of the in insides of the buildings.
I'm really siked to actually get this done soon though, so I can show some of the photos I have been taking while this series has been going.
