Oh man... I don't even know
Like, the reason why all of the night furies... or anything in general... have varying physical designs is because of artists like tracyjb and Turtle-Arts
I've been working really hard at character diversity for like... the past four years or sommin' (though I don't think it will ever stop being a pain in the ass trying to think of designs and like... all that)

Also I've been trying to get night furies down because i DON'Y CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS

I just wasn't enjoying art, and like everything else, it felt like obligation because I was afraid of regressing if I quit. Her reply- even the fact that she replied at all- meant so much to me
It wasn't the magic pill, but it gave me something to understand
I know that's probably a lot more personal than what you were expecting, but I've always felt like a lot of the "this is what I do" things have those steps or processes or whatever that you're just like
"no- no wait how did you do that??? no don't move on can we talk about that thing you did just now??? nO I CAN'T MOVE ON HOW DID YOU DO THAT HOW DO I MIMIC THE THING" and the whole time it's like... an art style thing that someone does unconsciously and here you are trying to apply everything you know about the universe to figure out how they did that one thing
Or maybe that's just me
I MEAN... AN EXAMPLE WOULD BE LIKE
trying to do "standard" lineless art, but my art is so centred around the lineart that I always find that it's just like "how did you make the lineless thing"
