Description The world is a dangerous place, especially for a little fox! Most opponents are taller and stronger, so he needs to hide, run away or outsmart them. But do not believe that Dizz is weak, he is very fast and agile. Compared to his size, even a good swordfighter. But his opponend is a big desert wolf, he is just to strong. Dizz wouldnt survive long in a swordfight against him. But he can't escape either...

When I’m writing a critique for a piece, sometimes I also take a look at other works of the artist and in your case I’ve seen that amazing portrait drawing of Bob Ross you did. It’s curiously far above this sketch. In that portrait you seem have mastered all the subtle pencil strokes but here it’s just crude and more like a beginner’s (not that being a beginner is bad) maximum hard work, almost trying too hard but the end result is, well, still a beginner level (I could be wrong though).

With all the awesome shading details on the Bob Ross portrait, you’ve missed them much in this cartoon – like on the fox’s figure, it’s so flat. It maybe supposed to be very dark due to the shadow but surely some hints of volume/dimension would be veeeery nice. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/>

There seemingly different techniques when you’re using the ordinary pencil and color pencils. You can always put your already high-skilled pencil drawing technique in every color pencil work. Unless this is intended as a rough comic-style drawing but even that I believe you could do better (can’t help comparing, sorry).

Overall, I think there’s lack of hint of dimension in this, even compared to the building ruin where the fox hiding, the wood planks are still flat. And there’s the lack of smoothness in the pencil strokes – remember there’s more than one way to hold the pencil, not just directly 90 degrees to the paper unless you want to make very dark strokes, but still it could use more smoothness. For a comic scene though, maybe this is nice enough and I like how you depict the desert wind as a substitute for a more complex background. But if there’s a wind then the clothes of the character are supposed to be moving. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/> Keep on practicing.

It's good to see my drawings from a different angle. In the past years I always did draw with graphite pencils, only in the last 2-3 months I started to use many different tools. Thats why, some of my drawings probably do look more advanced than another. Also i'm practicing a different style, more cartoony.

Thanks for the critique!
Have a nice day!
