Description
A commission for of her character Vasana.This, took quite a long while, the background went through some changes, and there were quite a bit of layers involved in this.
I tried to make it seem as if the character was wandering around a temple ruin that has been flooded. With a bigger temple as a silhouette in the BG. So we mostly see a bunch of broken and fallen pillars. And yeah.
This was fun to do. The character was a lot of fun to draw.
I hope you like it, and Kate I will note you to a bigger version. Because I know you asked for one

Argh, this was so so so worth the wait. I was honestly so anxious and excited to see how you would draw Sana and how she would look and I am pleasantly surprised. (How could I not really, you are ahmaaaziiing 
I love how you have drawn Sana, her pose especially. Even though she is a female she has such strong anatomy and her pose as well. The attention to detail with her jewelry and trinkets is so stunning, I keep finding myself looking over and around all the little details and things to explore. I love her eyebrows and face as well; strong. Very indiany too, augh. Always loved your faces!
The background is nothing short of incredible-those details are brilliant. The amount of effort you have put into it is amazing and I keep finding things to look at in the background. I am sure you have heard it before, but the way you compose and make your images always reminds me of a film-still. I love the addition of the lotuses too, and how perfect that we find her in a ruined Indian temple.
I love everything about this and like always, am pleased to have commissioned you. I am never disappointed. You rock

I had done a few variations of her pose, and even quick sketches of her setting.
I had watched a deer documentary (or two) to really get into the feel of the deer anatomy. And I finally settled onto this one, I just felt it the most natural and strong for the character. Glad it came off that way LOL
And my god the background, I had decided to challenge myself with it a bit. It tried to sabotage my computer at some point. the program froze and I almost lost the whole thing (at least to the last time I saved my progress). But I was lucky and it was not lost XD
I am so very glad you like it. I was really looking forward to drawing it, such an interesting design/character. Not something I usually post or finish. Things like this kind of peak in the sketch phase of a drawing.

Woah. This literally left me with my mouth open. I love every single detail here, and oh my god, the atmosphere! It all looks calm, yet mystical, and it fits and even emphasises Vasana's grace and unique appearance. Do i even need to mention that the entire thing is really breathtaking and beautiful and Vasana looks gorgeous? <3

Though I must admit, I had to search up the Gerla family, I looked into your gallery and found a link to a family tree. As I am not that familiar with the origins of Vasana's lineage.

I ADORE the way yo've done this, so natural I can just imagine such a mysterious creature lurking slowly through such a misty terrain.
You have great skills picking the perfect scenery and area where such creatres that you draw would be found and this character is PERFECT in your style.
You've really outdone yourself with this, it's absolutely stunning and the greyish paler background really goes so well with the rich deep blues of the characters coat. Lovely.
