Oh DJ, this is absolutely stunning! I love the beauty of this piece -- the colors of the sunrise and the way the sun shines on the grass is really beautiful. Your backgrounds are always lovely, but this one looks exceptional!
I really like Ahadi's expression -- he seems to have had his eyes open to the wonder and beauty of the world around him. I've always got the feeling that he was really hurt once and that his past makes him gruff and very closed. But if I'm totally wrong about that, sorry! And I like Uru's cute waking-up expression and her pose is really creative.
Man, your art seems to get better and better every time I see it. I wish I had a teaspoon of your talent, ha ha ha. I draw and draw, but I never feel like I'm improving. I love seeing how amazingly accurate you draw the canon chars, and I love seeing your skills with anatomy, expressions and paws.

And your spot on with Ahadi! His dad was pretty cruel, which is why Ahadi is a hard ass. But Uru finds a way to melt his heart little bits at a time.
