I'm pretty proud of this one, but at the same time, I'm quite tame about it. I mean, essentially all I did was point a camera in the direction of the storm and let the shutter go. Nothing mind-altering or earth-shattering going on.

How the heck do you capture lightning? I've never tried and there is a lightning storm on its way

Sorry I didn't get a reply in before the storm, dude. But maybe I can help for next time. Set your focus to infinity, keep your f-stop at about f/9-f/11, set your exposure to the longest time possible, point at the storm and release the shutter. make sure u have a steady surface and have fun. You'll end up with about 50 crap pictures but around 3-5 good ones. Hope it helps. I have a couple more on the way from last night's storm.
