Description See original: Woodpecker - no frame

I am playing with a new framing style. I think it looks kind of 3D. What do you think? Comments welcomed.

This little bird was hard to shoot. She/He never stood still for very long. I only wish I could have gotten all of it's body.

I love this framing concept, actually! But, next time I wouldn't make the frame so large..make it a bit more subtle. The concept is great, it's just like you're so excited to announce your concept that the border is nearly bigger than the actual photo itself.

Thank you...

I struggled with what size to make the frame. I felt I had to make it the size that I did because of the Woodpeckers beak (excitement no, but rather necessity in trying to find something to do with that I was otherwise unhappy with from the beginning). However, I do see what your saying too. This one was a first for me; so in time I will figure it all out. Thanks again.

I don't usually like photos framed, but I like the way you only partially framed this is makes him stick out more, almost 3-D like.

i love how the bird seems outside of the frame of the shot!

also love the color combinations of red, white, and black...really nice color combo mix and perfect tonal quality for me, too.

Thanks so much for commenting. I thought I'd try to do something different with this shot being I coudln't get all of it's body in frame.

Thanks again, much appreciated.

aww you're very welcome

amazing how trying to fix something you actually come up with a wonderfully artistic bent to what could very easily be a "normal" or "usual" shot
