Yep, it's Maliroth again. Why do I draw him so much. I dunno.

I think one reason is that it allows me to indulge in my stupid headcannons about Sephiroth. Specifically, his speech patterns post-Nibelheim.

Considering that in the Japanese version, Sephiroth switches to more polite pronouns-like "watashi"-as a symbol of accepting his role as the human incarnation of Jenova and the superiority to most that comes with it, I figure that in English that would be marked with eloquence and a near total lack of contractions.

For example, his plan to become one with the planet in the Original FF7.

"The process is not complicated. As this world is injured it gathers spiritual power at the wound to mend itself, an amount proportional to the injury itself. Ponder then, for a moment, an injury so great that the life of this world itself were placed in jeopardy... The sheer power gathered. And at the center of that wound... shall be I, taking in that boundless power. I shall become one with the life of this world itself....A new form of life... a new form of existence. I shall cease to be as I am now, and thus transformed I shall rule over all souls...

"As God."

That's just me. But I do think it would ramp up the "Doesn't even NEED to try to intimidate people" factor.
