Well I finally saw Percy Jackson and the Olympians the Lightning Thief, and I must say that I LOVED it! At first I didn't think that I would because I thought that it was going to ruin the Greek myths, but I absolutely loved it, the effects were amazing, I was familiar with the myths (I never read the Percy Jackson books, but now I want to read them) my mom was amazed on how much I knew the myths (throughout the film she kept asking me what is that? Whose this? etc.) Overall I thought it was awesome.As you guys know, I am a HUGE Disney Hades fan, but when I saw Hades in Percy Jackson, at first I was confused by his look, I think Grover called it the Mick Jagger look, but for some odd strange reason, it works! At first when I saw that Steve Coogan and Rosario Dawson are playing Hades and Persephone, I thought, wait, this British comedic actor and this gorgeous actress together? That's not going to work, but with the right look and the right attitude, I thought they made a very hot and sexy Hades and Persephone. My favorite scene of them was when Persephone grabs and kisses Hades and then she takes the thunderbolt out of his hand, he laughs saying "Okay, alright, give it back", Persephone has that crazy look in her eyes and then shoots Hades with the thunderbolt. I also love it when Hades yells for Persephone and she yells back "I'm already in Hell!" The Underworld scene was just awesome.
So I decided to take the way Hades and Persephone looked in Percy Jackson and put it with Disney's Hades and Persephone. I loved that look, it has the rocker-gothic-renaissance feel to it. And just out of sheer boredom I put a Tim Burton-esque border to it. Hope you like it!

I actually got into Greek Mythology when my topic (yes, that is a subject...) teacher read the story how Hades kidnapped Persephone to our class. What happens: Next day, I'm walking through a school with my nose NOT in a Harry Potter book! *shock* (btw, yes, it was a greek mythology book)

I think it's funny that you say that you're worried that Percy Jackson would ruin the myths when Disney destroyed them...anyway if you are into Greek mythology you really should read those books. They're fantastic and the movie doesn't do them any kind of justice. Love this picture though! Disney/Percy Jackson crossover=BRILLIANT!

The books are waaaay better than the movie, trust me. I was actually angry with the movie for changing the plot, messing with the characters and changing Percy's age. If you liked the movie, you'll definetly love the books

Oh, well, I guess it was how it was worded (or the fact that I was slightly drunk therefore I must of took the comment the wrong way), I just wanted to clarify that yes, I know that Disney's version of Hercules is practically NOTHING like the Greek myths as well as Percy Jackson, I already knew that a long time ago. I am very sorry if I hurt your feelings, apparently there was a miscommunication, again, sorry for the outburst

I loved the movie. They did an amazing job. Just one little detail ebbs at the back off my mind. It hardly followed the book! I mean for someone who hasent read the books, its amazing. For me it sort of deadened the amazement. I love it and i really want to see it again. I just will never see any of those characters how they cast them. It's not really Percy Jackson at all. Basic idea but not the same plot at all.

Okay the Percy Jackson movie as just a movie was totally amazing. I LOVE Logan Lerman
HOWEVER, compared to the amazingness that is Rick Riordan's brilliant series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, only the movie Avatar the Last Airbender made me want to kill the director and/ or screenwriter more. It was seriously depressing.
But have you read the books?! Cause you seriously have to, they are amazing!!
Oh and btw, amazing picture! I love your artwork! (especially your Twilight comics! XD) And they look great in these clothes!!

Me and my friend went to see it and every time they said "Ong" in stead of "Aang" we shouter out "WRONG!", it's a good thing the cinema was empty or we would've been kicked out. Another thing that annoyed me was when they went to the northen air temple and there was no Teo or The Mechanist instead there was som old guy from the Eastern airtemple.

I corrected them everytime they said either Ong Soaka or Eero and my friend would laugh at me xD It was also a nearly empty theater too ^^
But just overall the movie was just the worst epic fail in the history of the entire freaking universe!!! There are really no words to explain a fan's rage over this disgraceful movie

Yeah, I can't believe mike and bryan actually let that movie be made with sooooooooo many mistakes. And what happend to the freaking freedom fighters!!! and they're making another one!!! I'm scared. Who are they going to cast as Toph? I have a feeling they're going to ruin her character as much as Sokka's!!! yeah thanks for ranting with me too. It's just that movie was soooo bad. And apparently according a sight called IMDb Jet is actually in the movie but he's played by a 5 year old!!! I was like what the hell! And happened to Zuko's scar! It looked like a bad sunburn, not a really really bad burn mark from a fireball!

when my friends asked me to go see percy jackson with them i said no because it seemed like the kind of thing would absoutley fall in love with!!!!!! and i didn't want to annoy them with another obsession. but i had to watch when my lil bro got the dvd and he was scared so i had to watch it with him. i loved it especially the underworld bit. so i am reading the first book at the moment ( my friends pratically hate me now because i talk about it 24/7) i haven't seen hercules in ages it use to be my fave movie so i decided to watch it with my boyfriend he got really annoyed because i kept shouting out things that related to percy jackson. it was hilarious

Too bad they never put Persephone in the animated series. I heard that Disney had intended their to be a "child custody battle" episode where Hades and Demeter were her parents and she ended up having to spend half the year with each parent, but then Disney scrapped it.

Same night i watch it with my dad, Next day I go see it with my mom. I guess I was a little obsessed.
