Tess has led a rough life. Her quest for revenge in the end was her undoing. Once she found out the truth that Darrell was the one who killed Amy's parents and led Amy to die at Emalia's hands she quickly turned against him. Sadly Darrell was prepared to shot her in the head. Molly and the others assumed she was dead, however she miraculously survived. She was pulled from the burning building by rescue workers and was quickly rushed into surgery. Months of healing she managed to pull through, partly because she still had a strong will to survive. As she laid in the hospital she had a lot of time to think about her actions and how she was going about it wrong. She didn't want revenge on Darrell, all she wanted to do was to save Amy. And if that meant kidnapping Susan then that's what she'd do. Suffering from burns, blindness in one eye, and part of her brain missing she was finally released. She barely looked like Tess anymore. But her goal was the same, to try and get a second chance at saving the life she lost.
