Finally page 5! Sorry this took forever to do. So in a nutshell:

Vertex has run for days and has entered the badlands. Finally when he is exhausted, he colapses by a watering hole. Out of the darkness, three sets of eyes appear. One female voice talks about how she won't live the way they are anymore and wants to kill the unicorn before the Alpha arrives. The other voice, a male, tells her there is nothing they can do about the Alpha but that if she tries to kill the unicorn she'll die. She tries anyway. Vertex wakes up and the two lock eyes as she attacks. But who's blood now mixes with the water of the watering hole?
