It's a struggle gotta rumble trying to find it.

September
With Queen taking a short rest before her second-to-last race of the year, September was the month for our two-year-old duo to make their debuts. Highway Sins, the dark son of our now departed Celtic Star, and Mórrígan, the light chestnut sabino filly we’d purchased a year before, were shipped off to Santa Anita for their maiden races.
The two couldn’t be more different. Highway was fierce, aggressive. He took the lead and ran with it in training. Mórrígan was happy to lope along at the back of the pack, snoozing until the far turn where she came fully awake to stage her attack. Mórrígan seemed to run better against other fillies, so we entered her in a maiden race composed mostly of the ‘fairer’ sex. Highway was pitted against other males of his age and seemed eager to take a bite out of every last one of them.
The two would run on September third, Mórrígan in the first race of the day, and Highway in the second. The green-eyed filly broke late, cantering out a stride behind the rest of the field and happily cantering along four lengths behind the rest. Jimmy pulled her to the rail, shortening the distance she’d have to make up. Around the last turn, Mórrígan saw the home stretch, and exploded. She galloped faster and faster with every stride, gaining ground as though her opponents were simply loping along. She passed all seven horses and ran unchallenged for the wire. The final margin was four lengths.
Not long after that, our dark horse favorite pranced up to the gates. He loaded quickly, giving Harry no trouble, knowing what was about to happen. Silence. The bell clanged and the world opened up before him. He took to the track half a stride ahead, flying to the lead with ease. Harry worked to pull him up, knowing the distance that lay ahead of the youngster. Highway gave in, slowing his pace. He was still four lengths ahead around the far side and maintained it until the turn. A chestnut colt made his way to the flank of our colt, but got no farther. Highway shot off, inhaling the earth beneath him and tripped the wire for a six-length victory.
Both of our youngsters had dominated their fields. We could only hope for it to continue.
Queen returned late in the month for the Pennsylvania Derby. The Grade II race for three-year-olds was to be her last race before the Breeder’s Cup. We hoped the break would pay off, but one could never be sure.
The daughter of two of the greatest racehorses loaded easily, as usual. She broke well and stayed in fourth until the turn. She dueled with a number of closers, out striding each one with ease. A single bay stallion stayed at her shoulder, but fell behind six strides for the wire. Queen was once again victorious.
