I was going to go with Independence Day for the sketch but couldn't think of any good lines that'd make people remember the movie. There are some, certainly, but none so effective and classically '80s in style that Harrison Ford's one-liner. But yeah, it's a damn entertaining film and I just have to watch it at least two or three times a year.

I dunno, I think "Welcome to Earf!" was a pretty memorable line from Independence Day.

It was, but it wasn't as "'80s action movie" in style as Harrison Ford's line was. I mean, the bad guy played by Gary Oldman dies after the famous line. The alien that Cpt. Hiller punched was just knocked out and got killed much later when it woke up and possessed Dr. Okun. It was also a much more comedic scene and even ends with a smart-ass Groucho Marx-style joke (complete with a cigar).

I do have to say that if I had to pick up only one silly '90s action epic, it would definitely be ID4.

It does lack the pre-or-post-kill punch factor of Air Force One.

Personally, I'd have picked Lost in Space for my cheesy 90's action flick. That movie is my gorram Guilty Pleasure. So much going for it, but with a bad script, all of that can go out the window. And it also has Gary playing the baddie.

Yeah, that was seriously one of the best parts of the movie. One of my favorites his his Be Afraid speech. But yeah, have to watch it a couple of times a year.
