Description This is for my buddy . Hope you like it, bro!

I usually avoid drawing OCs but I figured that if I throw in a twist or two, it should get interesting. So there you have it, Mercy the goth girl and Bacon the pig, done in a mix of John Kricfalusi, Katie Rice and Peter Bagge style (the latter style mostly visible on Mercy's mouth). The Danes call it "Quality"!

And for all you skeptics, that's actually a puddle of beer under Bacon (I'm quite proud of how it looks). I'm also aware John K. hates 'TUDE (and so do I) which is why the quote there is just a bad joke. The same applies to the headache-inducing background.

Please, for the love of God, do not request or offer to commission me to draw your OCs because I won't do it.

Regarding your no drawing OCs position, looking back, I'm really happy that I stopped asking. Wish I could find the time to practice drawing so I can do it myself for once. Then there's money for lessons and all that. No one said it'll be easy.

I never took any lessons. I couldn't have afforded it. Of course, it took me years to get to this level which I suppose could've happened a lot more quickly if I received training.

That John K will hate anything that's not retro or off model to his liking, its no wonder he's the prima donna of cartoonists XD

People need to realize that John K. is well worth listening to when he's talking about Golden Age animation techniques. However, most John K. fans just aim to copy his own style without actually stopping for a moment to think about it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm aware of how much knowledge he has about the golden age of animation and how much value it has and I do like his works. At least he admitted, which I really admire of him doing is telling art students when looking for inspirations not to look at his work, but look to his influences for inspiration.

My only beef with him is how he acts like his work is the only important work there is and makes a big deal about. He got criticized for bashing Animaniacs without even watching a single episode first, even Ralph Bakshi told him to calm down before he makes it any worse for himself, and Ralph is a big critic of modern animation as John K. is himself.

I agree with you there. I'm not defending him as a god or something. Infact, one could say his attitude may do further damage to classic cartoons.

As for myself, I had to count to ten when I read about how he blames Star Wars for making kiddie entertainment bland and TV-esque. Yes, the original one.

Its a real turn off, but you want to know what the real ironic thing is? His attitude, especially his pride, is almost identical to his biggest inspiration, Bob Clampett, who also has been known to be talented and controversial, even the looney tunes legends Tex Avery, Friz Freling, Chuck Jones AND Mel Blanc couldn't stand him. And as a watcher of Ren and Stimpy, I honestly thought the animation was more fluid and better crafted in his earlier works, but in his newer stuff including the adult party cartoon...its just not the same, it feels ugly and shallow. But that's another topic.

He said that? Its that kind of attitude that can make a person hate him despite his talent. Besides, tv cartoons have always been known to be limited in animation, even during the golden ages, Jay Ward's shows are the biggest examples, but look how successful they are. Limited in animation but successful in writing. And while it can be argued that today's cartoons are nothing like the old days, in terms of how animation was never a big factor for tv shows hasn't really changed when you look at the history.
