Description
The purpose of the Vostok-36 is to act as a long-ranged torpedo platform in conjunction with the Kirov class carriers. It was specially designed to take-out heavily armored static targets such as armored space stations or repurposed asteroid deep space mining rigs. While its vast array of forward-firing heavy torpedo tubes is its signature weapon, the Vostok-36 comes equipped with a turret mounted light railgun for self-defence with a 270° firing arc. It is also known for its thick armor plating and multiple redundant systems which come however at the expense of its speed and maneuverability. Not surprisingly, it has been lovingly nicknamed the “Brick” by the fleet given its unsurpassed ability to take a beating and still continue to fly."
