I love art that tells a story. Inspires me to pick up the brush and inkpot again. I really like the stark contrast between the black and white in this piece, and the way the eye shines out. I don't think the girl could ask for a better protector.

At first look I though it was great, but there are some faults in it. I really like the characters, especially the way the girl is painted. the fog is also kind of nice. But... the girl is too far behind him to hold his hand, his head looks lazy-done, somehow the style of coloured parts doesn't fit well together and I don't know if the central composition on square canvas is the best choice here.
But it has potential.
