Got the urge to draw yet another Routh Superman. Got the picture from an Entertainment Weekly cover. [link]Scan didn't turn out not as nice as it usually does for some reason.

I think your art looks great, but can someone reading this comment please tell me why they think Superman Returns was awful!? It wasn't that bad, I kind-of liked it, even a bit better than Man of Steel! I thought it was a really good way to continue on with Superman: The Movie and Superman II. It DEFINITELY makes up for Superman III and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace.
My dad said that it was his favorite Superman movie, because it was the turning point of a human (and yes, I've always known that Kal-El's an alien from Krypton). My brother thought Man of Steel sucked. I do think Superman Returns needs a little bit of really good action and fighting to keep it up though so it wouldn't be really boring.
Man of Steel felt like a really long music video full of tons of fighting for a Superman reboot. I think Christopher Nolan made a great Batman reboot trilogy, but I really think Zack Synder could've done a little bit better! The movie looked good in the trailers, but I was a little bit disappointed when I went to see it (even when wearing my Superman t-shirt). With the movies that were a part of the series that had Christopher Reeve (Superman: The Movie, Superman II, and Superman Returns) gave you a warm feeling inside. Synder kind-of wanted to "Dark Knight" Man of Steel up, and that's why he hired Nolan as one of the producers. The true answer is that Superman is about hope, and Batman is about fear! Now Synder wants to have the sequel be Batman V.S. Superman, and he's hiring Ben Affleck as Batman!
I also don't know why Superman wasn't really protecting any of the buildings in Metropolis to be destroyed by Zod when he was fighting him on Earth's surface. I thought Superman cares MORE about the people in Metropolis then HIMSELF!
I'd say that I'd give Superman Returns 3.50 stars out of 5 (GOOD), and Man of Steel 2.50 stars out of 5 (MEDIOCRE).

I support Brandon Routh as Superman. He'll never be the best Superman, obviously, but he did okay.
I really like this, I've gotta say. The pose it perfect, making the transition from Clark to Superman perfectly! Those brooding eyes...ah!
