I actually liked this pose of Link from a manga. I also wanted to stray away from cross-hatching for a bit, while making it evident in this work. I then found this old marker that was running out of ink and tried it. It made the picture look more dynamic.Related content

i think that's exactly the right style! this pic feels fresh and beautiful -- i think the faded marker worked perfectly!

Thanks. I originally planned for it to be solid, but after the first stroke it showed signs of running out of ink. Rather than quit when I was just getting started, I thought I could probably pull it off. This is actually one of my favorite pics, so much so that I ended up placing it in an antique frame for display.
