Description Just because I could. But truth be told I was more interested in his horse than George here...
Have seen heaps of paintings of this scene in countless catholic churches as a child. Remembered them just because of the Dragon.

Or maybe said that I missed the point , human begins (saint or not) should be no match for his monsters

Nice work!   When I saw the title and thumbnail I was sort of hoping that this time the Dragon was doing better than George   I think it is doing better than in most depictions, and the golden blood is a very effective visual device.

Thank you Years ago the original intention was to draw George eaten by the dragon... Something went wrong this year Not sure how...
And I agree, the real drawing, without gold , purely in pencil, looks much more bland.

Maybe next year the Dragon will have his day.   I didn't mean to suggest the image would be lacking without the gold color, I meant that it is a very effective use/choice of some 'spot color'- suggesting his blood is some otherworldly substance which is unlike everything else in the material world.

Yes, indeed, puny little dragon, it always made me feel it is not a ferocious battle but matter of animal cruelty
