Description In a Dark Corner

The pour is always slow and easy
"Welcome to town" she said
as she slid into the room
lit by one dim bulb
and sat at a table in a dark corner
with a glass of water
and matches and a burning cigarette waiting,
on the walls written questions never answered
by someone not there
in a time never spoken
and on a map not seen.
she looked up and said
"I do not believe you"
I replied as I had done before,
"Makes no difference,
you're still going,
you're so going you're already gone"

Fantastic layering of colors leading to feelings, but each separate as one views, and then pulls back...the whole is cohesive. Something global, romantic and frustrated or angry all rolled into one. I like it.

I love how this is liquid and solid at the same time. on the right hand side I imagine a window...where the light shines in...or reflections of the sun on a wall.....lovely piece Doc!
