I was challenged to draw Gyaos by the great Sophie Campbell, so I did. This turned out better than I could have hoped, given that it was done on a lark. Brush and sumi ink on Bristol board.Related content

Pretty amazing work with the darks here. You really pulled out a lot of detail out, on both of the kaijus with your hatching like technique. Very reminiscent of some wood carvings or waterless litho printmaking. I like your Gyaos, but I really love the design that you gave to Gamera's face. Pretty great work!

Thanks! This was a lot of fun to draw. A lot of my ink work is tending toward looking like woodcut printmaking these days. I thought about transferring this to a linoleum block and printing a run, but then I got busy with other stuff.
