Name: Amuhn-Ras (aw-moon ross)

Nickname: He doesn't take kindly to nicknames, but he sometimes allows other cats to call him simply "Amuhn" or "Ras" to save on time.

Accessories: None that he actively carries with him, but he has various and sundry shiny things in his den (things that he usually hates other cats seeing).

Personality: Cold and calculating, Amuhn-Ras usually doesn't allow usual, "peasant" cats into his life, certainly preferring to keep to himself in almost all cases. In fact, he is a little bit of a negatively-received leader because of his consistent inability to trust other cats with anything (besides perhaps his deputy, and even then it's a considerable stretch).

Although these truths are self-evident, Amuhn-Ras makes up for his stand-offish, suspicious nature by being very protective of his clan and his representation of all it entails. When a kit is born or an apprentice is made into a warrior, Amuhn-Ras makes absolutely sure that he's there for the ceremony... Adversely, when in a fight, he makes sure that he's the first to personally lead his cats to battle.

Brief Backstory: Amuhn-Ras was born into a family of domestic cats. He was bred to be a show cat, but from the markings about his eyes and the ring around his tail, he hardly won anything but the bronze in his class, if anything at all. Soon enough, his owners let him free in the backyard, where he instantly climbed the fence to start a new life of freedom.

Amuhn-Ras developed into a healthy, rebellious young cat, but he learned on his own time that being so carefree was the stupidest thing a tom could do. All in his youth he had been in fights with badgers, wild dogs, foxes, and even scraped by the back legs of a hare; after surviving the worst of injuries (in which his hind leg got caught in a bear trap) he still managed to climb his way out of youth and into the role of a valuable and well-respected leader.

Relationships: None so far.

It was nighttime.
Of course, when was it that one usually pondered the comings and goings of the hours, when it was this period of eternal night? Amuhn-Ras's golden brown eyes flickered upwards to the canopy towering about his head, to the sounds of which his slender, black ears twitched consistently. Something was up there...something that smelled like a delicatessen. The tuxedo tom's tongue flicked over his lips and whiskers, and, in longing, decided that the venture was worth investing.
Using his back half's intense coiling of tendons and springs, Amuhn-Ras's lithe form was soon slipping up the length of the tree, eyes concentrated forward while they shone brightly in the dead of the night. Upwards and upwards he strove, ducking this way and that before finally reaching his target...and crouching at the very base of the limb. The tom prepared to creep forward, to strike out with his claws until the quietly chittering squirrel's limp form lay clenched in his jaws...until, that is, the tom happened upon a glance downwards.
Suddenly, he froze, the fur along the length of his spine raising. Somehow, by some cruel act of the gods, Amuhn-Ras's fear came upon him all at once; the thought of the height, the snapping branch, the sound of the bones in his own hind leg splintering as it was caught mercilessly by the trap...
After what felt like an age but was really a matter of a few scattered seconds, Amuhn-Ras turned tail and began descending back down the tree. Once his paws were back safely on the ground, the tom cast a single disparaging glance back at the tree before sighing. "I'll get to it tomorrow morning," he grumbled reassuringly to soothe himself, and suddenly he felt quite vulnerable as he limped unevenly back to camp.

Fun Facts:
Even though his voice is calm and well-pitched, his meow, well-worn over the years of his life, has grown deep and throaty. Because of this he usually prefers to meow only in desperate situations.
He has a permanent limp in his right hind leg. He never got the chance to get real medical attention after his accident with the trap, so his leg grew better while his bone was still crooked.
Although Amuhn-Ras tries not to associate with other cats unless it's necessary, he actually doesn't mind being engaged in conversation, and has excellent manners (especially around she-cats).
His left eye was injured in a fight with another tom. It can still see just fine, but it has permanent discolouration, the iris being a lighter, yellower shade.
