Description
"The cold never bothered me anyway."
She one of the main characters from Disney's latest film Frozen. She was born with the power to create ice and snow. When her secret was exposed, she fled her kingdom and build herself an ice palace in the mountains. She also creates what's probably the most gorgeous dress ever rendered in a Disney film. It's woven from ice and snow, and it's absolutely stunning. The amount of detail they put into it is just amazing.
Unfortunately, fleeing her kindgom creates an endless winter. Oops.
She is voiced by Idina Menzel, whom you might recognize from her work on the musical Wicked and the film Enchanted.
After I saw Frozen, I simply had to draw its female leads, with Elsa being drawn first (Anna's in development). And there was no way I was going to draw her unless she wore that breathtaking ice gown. Her dress gave me no trouble (until it needed to be photoshopped, which is a story for another day), but her hands gave me the hardest time. I hate drawing hands -_-;
Her braid gave me a little trouble, but nothing too difficult. I was more worried the scanner wouldn't see the cream color (which was the closest color I had to platinum blonde). Luckily it did. It also scanned her cape, despite being a very light blue.
Up next, her little sister Anna!
