Description EDIT APRIL 14: Re-did this one too! It's a little bit cleaner now, but this time I especially paid attention to line weight. I also got rid of the crow on the sign because live animals aren't allowed in layouts. Pity.

Just some placeholder work until I finish my last commissions and get on the other things on my To-Do List. I've been SO inspired lately but the homework is STILL piling on more and more...8'C

Usually I don't share my college work, but I had some fun with this one, so I figured why not. Though, despite having 2 weeks to develop it, we only have LESS THAN 2 DAYS to draw the actual final layout...it's not a lot to me aka someone with little sense of deadlines, but I guess in the real world, you have to be able to crank things out really fast. :V So idk, I feel like I could have done better on a lot of parts. Hopefully I'll learn my lesson for the next layout.

The biggest inspirations for this layout were the "Gusty Glade" and "Web Woods" levels from Donkey Kong Country 2.

HHHHH thanks so much Kimmy! Nature layouts actually tend to take me the least amount of time because they're so organic. I just sort of do random squiggles everywhere I want and it looks fine because there's no way one way of doing it.

AAAA those trees D: The deeetaillll Juli THE DETAIL. It's AMAZING. Even on something as small as the little rock by the tree, it looks so realistic from all the detail.. I love how the sign came out, and this one is making me REALLY REALLY lost for words LOL D: dhsgjksdghj I just can't believe how incredible this looks. Juli you're improving SO MUCH, so fast too.. This honestly looks like something a professional would draw. You are so amazing ;w;

This background is fucking amazing....

Seriously, those trees and bushes look so damn good, the detail, GAH, I love it 8D...I sincerely hope that one day you might color this?

The BG's I'm really ok at doing are simple ones, but there are some I actually can do like beaches Usually how I do mine is I just sketch it in last minute and color over it with markers XD

I'm not sure if I will, sadly...I already have a huuuuge To-Do list piling up. However, I promise that included in that list are some other backgrounds!

Haha, I wasn't that great at complicated backgrounds either 'til now. I mean I still have a long way to go but I'm getting somewhere at least. XD; If you really dedicate time to refining and detailing your line work, the result will pay off. (Also I learned how perspective ACTUALLY works...before that I'd just kind of wing it and try to guess what looked right. 8P)
