Probably should've done this a few weeks ago, but lessee. I've never done Q&A before but it could be fun. Don't listen to Nero, we're doing this!You can direct your Golden Shrike related questions to either the characters (anyone) or me, and later I'll upload a bunch of doodles with answers. We try to answer as many as we can but I have no idea how curious you people are. Note that I obviously won't do spoilers. Drop 'em below!

Edit: THERE'S SO MANY QUESTIONS... Hold your horses, I think I'm having my hands full with these already. I'll try to pick the ones that give the most non-spoilery insight, and those that have been asked more than once. I think I'll do a smaller reply sheet for the technical questions.

For Runi: for me, the night always makes everything seem like a different world. Why do you like the night sky so much, and do you wander off because of that?

- Do all of the deer have a bird companion? Are they all shrikes? Do Runi and Nero's shrikes have names?
- Why did Biro choose to stay with the herd, instead of following Runi and Nero?

To both Runi and Nero: Did you both get along as fawns? My sisters and I used to fight a lot when we were little but grew closer with age. Was it the same for you, or have you always been close?

To both: How far would you say your bond as siblings would be? Would each do anything to help the other?

1. What's your favourite food? And do you sometimes encounter struggles getting it? (Directed at all three of you.)

3. How would you imagine to look with an impressive (maybe not all too natural or breed-accurate) pair of antlers or horns? :3
(Mainly directed at our two deers, but I'd be interested in what our beloved artist would want to have too!)

oh i got one, i know leaving a herd is hard, but how do you feel knowing the other two didnt go aswell, especially biro after being saved.

How long will this comic go on, do you know? Could you give us an estimate? 100 pages, 200 pages?
Will we see the herd again soon? Or are we going to have a longer period of time alone with the siblings?Β
Why are there so many bucks in one herd, aren't they typically kicked out once they reach maturity? Going off that, how do you chose how "deer" your characters act, and how much to "humanize" them?

This question is kinda related to the comic? I guess? More on the technical side tho. Since in the beginning of the comic you had your struggles with Photoshop I wonder how you found your way to build up such amazing foliage backgrounds. Any tips or tricks? Also - did you use custom brushes or did you made them yourself? Could you share a link to the brushes? I especially love the leaves on shrubs and bushes. And since I am terrified of backgrounds I don't know where to start, feels like I'm going back and forth with building the body of objects that create the scene.
