Cutlass really makes me think of Steele just from the way he positions his mouth. I can't help but give him that deep, alluring, sultry voice. Riptide makes me feel like he has a soft, comforting tone. Something to balance out the roughness.

Rip invites strange deer to spend the night (he only knows their names) and is quite mysterious overall, and he seems a bit detached (especially on the page the osprey shows itself).
Cutlass is more of a wolf than a stag...I'm to assume he eats meat.
I'd be weird if the story takes that turn, but still, it is very possible that a couple of strangers, one being a carnivorous beast, are just luring the siblings to get a meal >.>
