Duffy and Bunny sofa lovers.Sooner or later a love-themed deviation with my cats was to be expected. This is the feline version of Romeo & Juliet that I've recently had to put up with in my house for some time. I like the way Duffy's foreshortened paw splits the shot in two. His alert and suave stance gives a sense of protective security. Bunny's pose on the other hand suggests tranquil day dreaming, secure in her partner's arms. I've been trying to cook up something with this image but somehow lacked inspiration to wrap it up. Until I received an open invitation to participate in a competiton, that is...

Well in all honesty my cats are deep ginger in colour (or marmalade) but because the blanket was a yucky baby blue I had to desaturate the whole. I didn't bother to redress the cyans in the cats' fur because I thought I liked how the picture looked anyway. However, this is the only time (I know) I heavily manipulated my pictures. I usually don't.

I can almost hear the purr and see the clenching and unclenching of the paw. You know how cats do. Fine until they do it when they are sitting on your knee and the claws come out .

such snug moments make it all worth while. my boys do this too, snuggle up close. the dominant one is the more protective one, putting his arm over the other. cats are so loyal and loving, and hold no grudges. very nice warm shot! good luck with the comp

In this case it's more of an Oedipus complex sort of thing. Duffy is Bunny's offspring but I don't think it made a difference for any of them. Anyway, thanks for everything...
