Bunny post-clinic with a broken leg.Right now she is most probably the saddest girl in the world. Refer to my journal for details. [link] The cat was coming-to when I snapped this and I'm quite happy with the cold, clinical surrounding colours. The expression in her wide open eyes are very dear to me (you could see my reflection there). Afterwards I helped her up to take some food (trout her favourite). She seems to have got used to (or resigned herself to) the bandages, for now at least.
This deviation was submitted for the Feeling Blue competition held on =thebigpicture in May 2005.

Yes she's sort of fine now. Still limps when she tries to walk on it but she's getting better by the day.

So and so I'd say. The vet says she has 15% handicap which according to him is fine but I suppose we have to give her time. Her leg looks too thin and perhaps she needs physiotherapy to get used to stepping on it again. Somehow she still thinks it's broken and keeps it straight even though she can actually bend it as the joint is fine!...

Aww, she looks so depressed. Reminds me of my Ashcat when she was spayed and had to wear that elizabethan collar. I hope her leg heals soon. The only critique I have is that her ears aren't completely in the photo, however, I think the great capture of her expression is unbelievable. It's definitely a perfect submission for the contest and it even has the color blue in it. Did you do that on purpose? j/k I hope she's getting better and is looking happier.
For anyone who thinks that cat's eyes aren't expressive needs to see this photo. I hate when people say cat's don't show emotion.

I cropped out her ears primarily because I wanted to focus the attention on the eyes and the expression (though leave a hint of green bandage) and because there was some noise in the background. The blue blanket is purely coincidental but I think it blends well with the green bandage. (Incidentally, the first bandage she had was a royal blue but she undressed it within a few hours).
She is getting better now though she's getting bored by the minute. First she lost weight from lack of appetite but now she's regained it (plus some more) from overeating and lack of exercise...

I was wondering if maybe that's what you did, but I wasn't sure. It's great, especially since you can focus on the expression in those eyes and it's perfect for that contest. I love the colors of the blanket and bandage and then her orange fur. You always come back to those eyes though, which is perfect.
I'm glad she's getting better and has her appetite back.

Awww I feel so bad for her. She has the same look that Tinkerbell, Figaro, and Boo all had after Cinders passed away (all 4 are my cats, Cinders was put to sleep last September
