I notest the two spirit orbs. But people say that happens when the camera lents is a little dirty. But this only happened to me twice, in this photo and in one around a fountain in the gardens of this same palace. If it was dirty should it happen with all photos? Meanwhile I changed my camera (this older one only hace 2 Megapixles).

Glad you liked the photo too!

Should I replace it and put the one that I made better in photoshop without the 2 spirit orbs? I can't decide what to do.

I know this is a few years old, but I just wanted to say this is a lovely shot. However, I don't think those are spirit orbs. While sometimes this is because of a 'dirty lens', it also sometimes happens when light reflects off of floating particles in the air like dust. Happens all the time and this looks just like dust.

Again, this is a beautiful shot!

No sweetie, those are spirit orbs. I've been studying the paranormal for a long time. Since the place is historical, one cannot be surprised. It's probably just some of the original inhabitants that still remain in the castle/cathedral, etc. as spirits.

Personally, if someone wants to use the photo as stock, then I would put up the clear one, but I would also leave up the spirit orb ones for interest value. Spirit orbs are cool to look at and makes one wonder about the history of the place and the kinds of ppl who resided there.

I found in english a little of the palace history: "In 1858, Francis Cook contracted James Knowels Jr. to design the pavilion that he wanted to build in Monserrate. The architect found that he was restricted in various ways however, since he had to work with the existing structures of DeVisme’s old small Neo-Gothic Castle.
But the construction followed Knowels’ plan and the building proved to be original and highly eclectic. The three bodies of the pavilion – topped by bulbous red cupolas - have facades opened by doors and windows of soft Gothic curves. Preceding the entrance is an equally Neo-Gothic portico with a cincture of large entablatures. In the cornice are alternate modillions of trilobite spirals and arches, and emerging from the central body is a balcony with arches ornamented with decorative tiles imitating the mudejar style, which overlooks a leafy park. Inside the palace, the exuberant decoration of the plaster and domes accentuates the oriental style of the pavilion, particularly in the gallery and the β€œMusic Room”, where a profusion of Indian and classical themes permeates the ensemble with its own dynamic, creating a unique aesthetic effect. The superb gardens around the royal building were designed and created by Stockdale and Thomas Gargill, who used the micro-climate of the mountain to create a magnificent park where more than three thousand exotic species can still be seen today."

Then the building was abandoned for many years cause I think some of Cook family died in USA. This was just the vacation place ( I wanted a vacation house like this for me too )

Have to show you the other photo that I have in the gardens that also shows the orbs.

Yep... sounds like that family still resides there because it was their vacation home and they probably spent many happy days there and now they can all be there together forever. I've heard of some spirits doing that; they get attatched to a place because it was their favorite place and had happy memories there. So, they're harmless and not at unrest, which is good. You hear about so many spirits who reside in places becuase of pain and anguish, so it's always good to hear happy-ending spirit stories. If anything, they're showing up in ppl's pictures because they are proud to show off their place.

No, It's Moserrate Palace. It was of a American guy that build it to spend his holidays in Portugal during the summer time. He wanted to make a romantic place where the artists (painters, writers and poets) could get inspired. The palace was close for 50 years and now they opened it for tourists!
