(Gonna start catching up on Forgotten Land fan art; bear with me)

I really needed a break from trying to design Fecto Elfilis, so I drew this.
I don’t really know why…I had a title in mind, and a rant in mind, so I came up with this image…which ended up fitting neither. But I liked it, so I decided to draw it anyway.
Now that I have drawn it, though, why not try to figure out a reason for it? After all, that’s what I’m good at~. Here goes:
What if…Morpho Knight themselves either contributed to or directly caused Elfilin’s transformation into an individual, to isolate Fecto Elfilis’ destructive desires and incite a truly world-ending catastrophe? Basically, what if 90% of the plot of Forgotten Land was their fault? ^^

Firstly: Assuming Morpho only wants to parasitize and kill-steal from very powerful final boss characters, it wouldn’t be out of the question for them to occasionally…try to create those final bosses. ФωФ
They could deliberately seek out characters who are headed that way, and give them a little push to increase their threat level into something that’s appealing enough to consume. ^^ Considering the god-like level of power they seem to have, I’m sure they’d be capable of a little unfriendly manipulation if they were interested.

Secondly: With the ‘let’s cause problems on purpose’ way I write Morpho, it would be very in-character for them. XD

Thirdly: From a fanfic writer’s perspective, a setup like this can be used to easily fill in logistics holes– what specifically caused Elfilin to split off from F/E? How did he manage to escape Lab Discovera?? Simple: a demonic psychopomp from another dimension (who was already invested in these outcomes) lent him a hand. ^^
