I love these!
One time I found a dead calico adult cat next to a sidewalk, so I sawed its head off and I have the skull nice and clean on my bookshelf.
I don't see a problem with taking domesticated animal parts, it's the same as wild animals to me.

You should have a problem with it, that was someone's pet. My calico was hit by a car and killed a month ago, if someone has sawed her head off I'd have done the same back.Β

LMAO
Good for you. You'd saw someone's head off because of a dead, useless, lifeless, kitty's skull being used for something worth while instead of the skull being thrown in the trash or buried in the dirt, never to be seen again.
I promise you I 100% have NO problem with it.

You need to seriously take a look at how the animal would feel.
It's fucking dead. It's not like it's going to feel it.
As for animal mutilation, yeah I get it. Waaaah, you're cutting off a cat's appendage. Go fucking cry about it, and ignore it.
You're not the one fucking doing it, so why give a shit anyways? Just turn a blind eye like everyone else.
You have no reason to piss all over someone else's "hobby" (If that's an appropriate way of putting it.) Just because you can't handle the emotional factor of it.
Methinks you have nothing better to do.
Mealsothinks, I'm right.
TL;DR - Fuck off and ignore it. If you choose not to, then fucking cry about it but keep it to your goddamn self.

I can handle the emotional factor of dead animals and handling them as a hobby, being a student taxidermist myself. What I will not ever tolerate is the fact that someone has taken someone elses' dead pet and chopped it's head off - it's not about harming the animal in the slightest, I never once mentioned how the animal would feel.
What I'm on about is about how disrespectful it is to take someone's dead pet and decapitate it. It's downright rude. That animal belonged to someone.Β
If I have nothing better to do, then what are you doing, may I ask?

Thank you for assuming that the kind of person I am is a monster just because we disagree on something, really appreciate your density <3

I'm not assuming you're a bad person because we dissagree on something (here's a fact: there's not a single person in the world who agrees with absolutely everything another person does!) I'm dissagreeing with the fact you don't seem to care at all about decapitating another person's pet.Β

I suppose now I have to justify myself. -sigh-
I found the cat on a sidewalk no where near any homes. There's no way I or the rest of the world could have known about where the cat came from. I noticed the cat in the same spot where I first sighted it 3 months later, and that's when I took it's head. That cat horribly decayed when I went to it and I'm assuming it had been there more than 3 months.
All dead cats aren't house cats. The cat for all we know was a stray.
If the kitty had "Mr. Jingles" engraved into a heart shaped tag on his/her collar, then we would all know for sure it was someone's pet. I've had dogs and other pets and I sure as hell would never cut the head off my own pets, so I do sympathize other people's pets that have lost their lives, because it's like losing a member of the family. I get that. But this cat wasn't anything like that to me, and I had no way of knowing what it was to anyone else.
Now you know a little better why I was saying I have no problem with it.

I'm not sure about taking roadkill cats. I'd love to have them, but the owner might like to find the body. I'd be really upset if someone stole my dead pets.

Personaly I don't know any person who would take a dead pet :c...
Those people are vvvveeeeeeryy rare, I even remember when neighbor's cat was killed next to the owner house... Nobody took him, so after three months I took care about the bones :c.
I think that if someone would like to take a dead pet, will do it shortly after 'car incident' and won't wait a few weeks or months... But most bodies I found were just skeletons with part of a skin and fur.

I found a freshly killed cat yesterday in the countryside, I didn't hesitate to take it. Selfish? Probably.
