Here is another shot that was taken at Rootstein Mannequin Showroom. I like the way the hat looks on her although I have never seen that style before it sort of reminds me of one of them old pillbox hats that were fashionable in the 40s era. I also like her very confident pose. I think the cape compliments the dress nicely. Her brown skin looks perfect against the cream colored clothing. You do not see very many dark skinned mannequins so I always try to get a shot of one when the opportunity comes around.Related content

I like the way her hands are positioned on her hips. Some mannequins posed like that, their hands hover too far above their hips, hers are just right.

She certainly is a minority there, then. I really like her. The lighting there seems to be not so colored as it was in your last visit, though that went well with the rooms they had then. This lighting goes so well with the rooms they have there now. Can't wait to see any more you'll post! I think this is my favorite of the two you have uploaded so far.

The lighting last time was really harsh because you had such extreme pinks and blues it was so insane. It was hard to get good shots and I still do not know a lot about the camera. I noticed certain shots came out with less lighting I would guess it was the area they placed the mannequins. I have a few more coming. Glad you are enjoying these shots and that is what makes it all worthwhile to get there and take these

Do you have anything that you can adjust lighting and such with, like Photoshop, photo editor app, that kind of thing? Even if taken in bad lighting, it can be fixed. I fix up my images with a free photo editor app. I use it for everything, book covers, photomanips, photo resizing, everything.

I do try to adjust in some free online websites. Sometimes I can fix them just right. It's not easy taking shots in the showroom as most of the time the showroom is pretty dark and the only reflecting lights are the ones you see are on the mannequins. But I did manage to get a few that I was okay with. Will submit another piece in a week or more

I think why they may have it so dark, is because it might make them look more realistic, perhaps. Kristen in certain lights, can look very, very realistic, but in broad daylight at my place, she can look so fake, that you know she's just a cheap mannequin. Lighting is always the key in taking good images of mannequins.

You may have a good point there. And my dear Steven they are very realistic looking. I do believe what you are saying about the lighting is true. I guess your eyes have to focus a lot better when you are trying to look at an image that is in the dark. I think I remember a couple of Kristen that you took of her by your window with not very much light coming through.

How very true Melissa, it isn't very often you see dark skinned mannequins. I think this one was very pretty. She kind of reminds me of a flight attendant with that hat. I love the name you gave her, its very fitting. I recall when we were there after you took the photo her eyes appeared to look like they were more open after the shot. I like the way the lashes look. Looks like a diva for sure

it does seem she was isolated from the rest of them. But If
I am correct, I think I saw another one just like her but fixed
up a little differently. But she seem to have her own spot and
also the way the light was shining down her like she was in
a spotlight. The word Ebony is more fitting for her

Excellent name chosen for this image. I tend to agree about black mannequins. I think you took an excellent shot of her. The lighting of this one is soft. She looks quite fashionable with her very fancy hat I like the way she is posed as well. Your mannequins are always pleasing to the eye.
