Merrill's story was such a disaster - that you could see happening from the very beginning.I didn't like their thing in DA2 with weapons floating on the characters' back. Added small details of a belt to support Merrill's staff. Also adapted the mirror a bit.
Like on the other ones of these series you can hit download to get the 1920x1200 version.

Merrill is actually my favorite DA2 character by a large margin. Β I found her interesting (and adorable!) because she was this unique combination of totally, innocently naive and driven to the point where she'd do anything to do what she thought would save her people. Β Yeah, her story was hard...but can you really say it was any worse than anyone else's? Β Your brother going insane and murdering dozens, your former owners coming after you to return you to slavery, being hunted by a terrifying group of outsiders basically making you responsible for a city being ransacked, turning into a rat bastard (Anders, if this one isn't clear), finding out your family's allies made deals with demons to take over their power and wealth, and losing your husband with absolutely nothing you can do about it (it says a lot when Aveline has the least tragic story in the game)? Β Those all hurt. Β And Hawke's family is just made to suffer, with the best possible outcome being two of the original four surviving, one worse off than they started. Β Let's face it: DA2 was simply not a very happy game.

The more I play DA2, the more I realise how dumb everyone was, and how so much of the crap that went down could've been avoided if they all just thought about what they were saying/doing. Maybe Kirkwall kills brain-cells.

I find her adorable. I always liked shy girls. I just wish there was a way to talk her out of screwing around with that damnable mirror.
If my Dalish warden were able to appear in the game, he'd probably give her a good smack before giving her a hug.
