Description
A drawing I did for my mother for Mother's Day. Her favourite colour's purple, so I drew her a purple flower faerie <3Done in colour pencils and coloured fine liners on textured card.

I'd like to have a tattoo myself, although I think I'd only go for something small and which I can hide easily if need be. Thanks for all the comments ^^

i can understand that. I want a tattoo myself on right arm/shoulder. the subject of the tattoo is gonna be wolf atleast. but ive seen alot of wolf tattoos and i want to think of something unique^^ i don't really mind if it's visible tbh^^ tattoos are always nice if they are done nicely and they mean something to the wearer.
btw what do you think of my idea? (check journal) think it's a good way to inspire people with their art? ^^

I wouldn't know what I'd want to get XD *hasn't thought that far ahead* I'd probably get it on my arm or shoulder, so I can cover it up or show it off when I want to.

Think of something that represents who you are or somthing you highly believe in? ^^
and not everyone things far ahed, but it's quite important to do if you want a tattoo(and yes i realize that rimed xD) and arm and shoulder i agree, for several reasons, show or not show is one, and tattoos usualy look the best there. it's also something that someone glase(bad spelling xD) on then move on with their day usauly. with on say your chest(male cases i would say here xD) people would keep looking and think, why the hell did you get that tattoo there and why that wierd stuff like that xD, ((reffering to moments on say the beach or something^^ xD))
i also though of a tatoo idea today. outer layer looks like skin then it looks like a wolf is bursting out of your skin. sorta like the claws/paws/depends what kind of looking wolf u want^^ just opens your skin and then the head and ferocious look is bursting out of the skin xD ^^ i sorta like that idea. works cool as just a drawing too. but not sure if i would get that as a tattoo might be creepy to most people`? xD ^^
Well i use to have a lot of creativity blocks, but now it's flowing free often^^ now i just need to get good at drawing again^^

Yeah, a tattoo should be something personal. When you're getting ink permanently etched into your skin, it's not something to take lightly XD
Well, most people - including guys - spend their time covered up, so I guess with some of they just thought it would look cool there, or they had a really big picture in mind, or just didn't care.
It'd be an interesting tattoo, although I wouldn't want something like that myself. I'm more of a decorative person when it comes to tattoos. And yeah, something like that might be a bit too creepy, even for me. I remember seeing a tattoo similar to that once, where the person had their whole side inked so it looked like they'd been ripped open, exposing their ribs and insides << Blegh.
Good to hear you're feeling creative again. I've been having a bit of a block since the start of the year ever since I saw Rise of the Guardians. The animation and the illustration (I got the concept art book) were so amazing it was like being in the aftermath of an explosion, leaving me feeling burnt-out and kinda dazed. All my work just suddenly seemed so pointless and mediocre in comparison. But it's been slowly getting better, and I think I'm gradually working past it now.
Do you mean you've got a tablet, or you're still looking? If you're looking for something cheap but good, I'd recommend the Monoprice. I have one and so far I haven't had problems (although I'm completely new at digital painting, and I haven't had much of an opportunity to test it properly yet). Hehe, well covering up depends on the area you live in^^ for example here in norway where i live you would cover up cause it's usually cold here( but nice during the summer really ^^ ), but say you are in miami or something you wouldn't cover up as much.
As i said, it's more of a cool tattoo idea. didn't say i wanted that xD, could be cool as a traditional art piece too(on paper that is xD) so you would get a fairy as a tattoo then or something? idk but if you say a big nintendo gamer then you could get a nintendo controller tattooed^^ actually know a swedish person with a tattoo like that xD think it's a NES controller actually^^ . and i've seen some of those tattoos with ribcages etc, they are not for me^^ but they are cool looking and well done, that i will admit.
Im feeling creative again yeah. but not feelin like drawing as much yet xD thoughts are comming but they don't want to come out you could say xD

True, I suppose. Although there are always long-sleeved t-shirts that are pretty thin. Or you could grow your hair out, lol.

Whoa, a Nintendo controller tattoo? That's dedication.
You should see it. The sheer artistry, detail and majesty of the animation, the characters (can honestly say there isn't a character I don't like, even the bad guy; they're just so much fun) and that innocent, joyous feeling it captures make Rise of the Guardians awesome.
Yeah, no point in just moping around. If you want a creative career, you just gotta keep creating regardless of how daunted you feel. Awesome stuff like that should set the bar.
Although downside with Monoprice is that the pens are battery-powered. I've never tried Wacom or Cintiq, since this is my tablet, and first time drawing digitally XD

battery power for pens isn't that annoying as long as you can charge it up or got spare batteries xD

Celtic stuff comes to mind. Ooh yeah, FMA stuff is pretty cool, although I think I'd like to design my own tattoo, give it a more personal touch. The Ouroboros tattoo in FMA's still pretty cool, though.
Ah, I've seen the comics for that, and I had a game for it, too. I've seen some of the animation, too, but I don't know which or what film that was.
I don't think you can charge these ones, but I've got a lot of spare batteries, so it should be enough to keep me going for a while.
I've heard a lot about livestreaming - it's recording your drawing, isn't it? - but I don't know how it works exactly. I thought that was more for digital artists?

Celtic looking stuff is really awesome^^ check : WildSpiritWold 's DA that person is AWESOME at tribal ish art^^ and they give off a celtic feel a lot of em also imo^^ i love FMA. wish they would have made more seasons^^ more movies too. would love to see your design when you make it^^
you need to watch the movie^^ it's so good. it's a MUST watch if you like good movies^^. and you need to watch the link i sent, thats the oldest i think and the best one made i think, but all the pre 2000 movies of em i think is good.

livestreaming isn't recoring perce, if you livestream something then you stream say your screen of you drawing live to people. there are those stream sites that also record aswell just sayin. and you can do it for both digital and traditional. only thing with traditional is that you gotta use say a webcam pointed at your sheet. digital is much easier^^ but both works^^
